Martin Hubel has both extensive and intensive experience in database design, application architecture, and system administration for relational database management systems, particularly DB2. For the past twenty years, Martin has consulted and taught more than 400 clients worldwide to use DB2 effectively, and designed DB2 product lines for software vendors. Prior to his software experience, Martin worked in both the private and public sectors as a project manager, database administrator, systems programmer, security and disaster recovery analyst, application designer, business analyst, and end user consultant. He has been active in a number of professional organizations including the International DB2 Users Group (IDUG) and is an internationally recognized speaker on various topics relating to DB2. Martin's current client list includes companies in the finance, communications, health care, public utilities, transportation, and software industries.

Martin has worked on mainframe DB2 for over 20 years, and has worked with DB2 on Linux, Unix and Windows since 1993. This work focuses on design, performance, recovery, and systems management issues. He is a charter member of the IBM Gold Consultants Program and was a participant in the DB2 Version 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 beta programs. Martin has contributed two chapters to a book published by Prentice Hall entitled: "Data Warehousing: Practical Advice From the Experts." He also has written many DB2 related articles for various publications.

Martin is available for assignments up to 2 weeks in length, or for part-time assignments of longer duration. Many assignments provide high value within a one-week period. Martin's specialties include the following:

Robert Williams

Rob Williams has been working with MHC and DB2 for the last 8 years. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with Honors in Computer Science and Business. Rob has experience in database and application migrations, DB2 cross platform application development, performance tuning, disaster recovery, server administration, and database administration. In his past he also developed a large scale website from scratch that had over 1000 current users on its message board and over 5 million unique vistors a month. Joseph Lai

Joseph Lai has extensive and intensive experience in application development, system & database design, and database administration in DB2, Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server and IMS. He has played a key role in setting database standards, procedures, information systems architecture, and strategy on mainframe and client server DBMS. With over 25 years experience with small, medium and large scale application development, he is invaluable as a application and database development architect. For the past ten years, Joseph has focused his interest on application and relational database development and the connectivity of GUI front-ends to the RDBMS using ODBC and middleware. He was also one of the authors on a DB2 Backup and Recovery paper published by Guide International.
