What We Do
Since 1992, Martin Hubel Consulting Inc. has been helping customers with difficult performance problems, recovery issues, design, consulting and training for DB2 on z/OS, AIX, Sun, Linux and Windows. We also have extensive experience tuning vendor applications such as PeopleSoft and Siebel. This work can be on-site at your location or remotely from ours.

Fight The Right Fires!
As a DBA, when was the last time you had enough time to do everything you needed to do? With availability targets rising and user demands increasing, there is little time left to look at system and application performance issues.

We have the talent AND the tool to help tune DB2 applications on the Linux and Unix platforms. Our SQL Sleuth tool, exclusive to MHC, accurately captures the most expensive SQL statements, based on resource usage and execution frequency, to truly show what your applications are doing!

DB2 Performance Audits PDF Print E-mail

We provide DB2 system and application audits to ensure operational integrity and optimal performance. The audits can be done remotely from our location or on-site. We identify key areas for improvement, provide a written report, and are available for questions following the review. For DB2 LUW, we have developed our own technology, SQL Sleuth, that finds performance problems that otherwise might be missed. We have experience in OLTP systems, data warehouses, and vendor packages such as PeopleSoft and Siebel. Our performance audits include:

  • Tuning bufferpools for optimal performance
  • Performing index analysis
  • Reviewing and adjusting system and database settings
  • Identifying system and application bottlenecks
  • Optimize tablespace and other physical design settings
  • Recommendations for future growth
  • Identify highest use and worst performing SQL using SQL Sleuth (DB2 LUW)
